We love sharing stories from our amazing donors and recipients that illustrate how milk banking has affected their babies’ health and their families’ lives. It is not every day, however, that we share our milk bank’s story itself. We recently had the chance when our director, Naomi Bar-Yam, PhD, was interviewed by Gold Learning, Online Continuing Education.
Naomi talks about what personally inspired her to found Mothers’ Milk Bank Northeast and shares our current challenges and inspirations. She also discusses the importance of getting donor milk to babies, which is her topic at the 2017 Gold Lactation Online Conference add-on session, Human Milk Banking and Sharing. The conference is available until June 2.
