Mothers’ Milk Bank Northeast currently has two job openings: Laboratory Technician and Lab and Shipping Assistant. We are seeking bright, energetic, motivated team members who can commit to at least a year on staff.

Job Opening: Laboratory Technician
Responsibilities:
- Pouring milk into bottles for pasteurization under clean conditions
- Mixing and pasteurizing donor milk
- Entering pasteurization data into database
- Preparing milk samples for lab testing
- Cleaning and preparing lab for next pasteurization
- Logging in raw donor milk
- Entering donation information into database
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Lab experience a plus (can be trained)
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to follow multi-step processes
- Organizational skills and high attention to detail
Job Opening: Lab and Shipping Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Pouring milk into bottles for pasteurization under clean conditions
- Mixing and pasteurizing donor milk
- Entering pasteurization data into database
- Preparing milk samples for lab testing
- Cleaning and preparing lab for next pasteurization
- Logging in raw donor milk
- Entering data into multiple programs
- Printing and affixing labels onto milk bottles
- Setting up client accounts and orders in QuickBooks
- Packing and shipping of processed donor milk to clients
- Creating shipping labels using FedEx website and prepping boxes for shipment
- Assisting with monthly inventory
- Accepting and organizing large deliveries of boxes and bottles
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Lab experience a plus (can be trained)
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word)
- QuickBooks experience is a plus (can be trained)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to follow multi-step processes
- Organizational skills and high attention to detail
For both jobs:
Hours: Full-time, 10:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday
Salary: $16/hour. Benefits can include health insurance.
Location: Newton, MA
