20 Years of Milk Banking
Over the past two decades, more than 7 million ounces of donor milk have reached babies when they needed it most.
Last year alone, your support enabled us to distribute 660,000 ounces of donor milk, serving an estimated 22,000 families. And we’re on pace to do even more this year.
Those numbers tell an important story—but not the most important one.
The Families Behind the Numbers
For Caroline, donor milk was an important part of her 88-day NICU journey. Born at 29 weeks and weighing just 2 pounds, 7 ounces, she relied on donor milk to nourish her little body, support her growth, and help protect her from life-threatening medical conditions.
For Ashley, whose son Tobin required extra support after birth, donor milk provided the nutrition he needed during his NICU stay while she worked to establish her own supply. Ashley describes donor milk and the people who make it possible as:
